Rift is latest and extremely exciting massively multiplayer online game created by Trion Worlds. This game features a distinctive class system, high-level raiding and instances, competitive PVP game, beautiful graphics and much more. This article reveals a Rift leveling guide and explains the basic elements of the game. The guide discussed will help both new and seasoned players reach higher levels and dominate within the Telara world.

Reach the HIGHEST Levels in Rift and Get TONS of Gold with the Tips & Tricks in the Rift Supremacy™ Strategy Guide!

There are numerous techniques for leveling up within the game. Below is the list of every method and you’ll also be provided with an explanation on how efficient each method is. The finest method you could get experience at this time are: grinding, rifts, PVP, instances and quests. Every of these possess its own advantages and disadvantages and it is possible that you’ll have to combine all these methods for leveling up so you could get to level cap.

How to Level Up FAST in Rift

Quests: Quests are primarily used to boost the level in Rift. Quests are provided to the players from different NPCs that can be located all through the Telara world. Quests are normally the fastest and easiest means for leveling up, though you can increase your level even without doing several quests. Besides the experience that you will gain from doing quests, you’ll also get equipment that are utilized to increase the fighting power of your character.

Rifts: Among the most important selling points in this given Rift leveling guide are the rifts. These are the NPC invasions within Telara. From time to time, a rift would open within a few spots from which different monsters will get through. You’ll have a tough time to overcome them by yourself; however, this is why there are numerous other players within the area with whom the rifts can be closed and avoid invasions.

An invasion or event that is zone-wide is declared within the chat window. Once they take place, a whole zone would be inundated with monsters, and the players need to work as one to overcome them and for the rifts to be closed. After defeating the weaker monsters, a boss would come out that needs to be exterminated. Make sure that you have participation in several rift closures and monster killing and particularly in fighting the final bosses, since the reward is provided which totally depend on your personal contribution to the combats.

Reach the HIGHEST Levels in Rift and Get TONS of Gold with the Tips & Tricks in the Rift Supremacy™ Strategy Guide!

Player vs Player or PVP: In this Rift leveling guide, player vs player or PVP fight is extremely dynamic and the majority of gamers find it enjoyable. Although some are avoiding it completely, it does aid with leveling significantly, and defeating other gamers is enjoyable within any game. You obtain a PVP quest each day, which means that you could finish it within a span of 23 hours, besides the additional one-time quests. The quests each day are an outstanding resource of your experience and a few much required supports that are utilized to buy equipment.

Dungeons: These are particular spots from which you would encounter quite best and powerful NPC monsters. You’ll have to combat together with other gamers in completing the dungeons since monsters are not only very strong for one player to manage, but many bosses are also inside that are difficult to overcome even by a group composed of five players.

You will not encounter an instance in the earlier levels, but soon after, you’ll notice players searching for a group quite often. The experience that you get within instances isn’t the best; however, if you’ll have an effective, knowledgeable and skilled group, you must have the ability to clear the instance quite fast.

Ever since Star Wars the Old Republic came out there have been all kinds of guides popping up for the game. Some are detailed and useful but others are just a huge disappointment. We came across one called SWTOR Secrets™ that looked rather interesting so we decided to pick up a copy and review it for our readers.

SWTOR Secrets™ Review

The first thing to note about this guide is that it’s primarily marketed as being a book full of tips and expert tricks that will help you level faster. While it does indeed contain a ton of info on how to level each class quick there is a lot more to this guide than that. Everything from simple quests to end game content is covered.

The book has detailed instructions for quickly getting through planet progressions, flashpoints and companions. There are even sections that go over strategies and builds to use for both PvE and PvP. We were rather impressed with the builds featured in this guide, too. They are very versatile and powerful. There are builds for both DPS and tanking that are both highly effective and great for battle.

Features of the Guide

So, what all is in SWTOR Secrets™ ? Here are some of the primary features:

Full Leveling Guides for EVERY Class (meant to level you to 50 in just 6 days)

Guide on How to Make Credits in SWTOR + How to Reach the Credit Cap

Pro Tips & Strategies to Use in PvP

Full Guides to All Quests, Flashpoints, Planet Progressions, etc

Tricks on How to Get ALL the Best Items for Your Character

Powerful Builds for Both PvE and PvP

24/7 Support for Any Questions/Concerns

FREE Updates for When New Patches and Such Release

Overall this guide has a lot to offer. There is a lot of valuable content packed into it. We found it to be very easy to read and follow. There are two choices available when purchasing. You can either purchase a single guide (meant for one specific class) for $27 or you can purchase the entire collection which includes all of the class guides, credit guide, PvP/PvE guide and more for $47. We found the whole collection to be the best value because, let’s face it, at some point you’re going to want to create a new character under a different class. And for just $47 it’s worth it.

Check out the official SWTOR Secrets™ website for more information and purchase details.

As mentioned, SWTOR Secrets™ is packed with loads of great tips, tricks and strategies for leveling, getting through missions, reaching the credit cap and having incredible builds for both PvE and PvP. And, hey, if you don’t find this guide to be of your liking it is backed by a 60 day money back guarantee so there’s really no way to lose on it.

Final Thoughts: This guide is definitely one of the better ones available. There are some really thin-content, crap guides out there right now that look similar on the outside but are just useless. SWTOR Secrets™ stands out among the rest. If you want to level quickly, make some serious credits and be unstoppable in PvP this is a guide you’ll want to get your hands on. It’s perfect for beginners and yet still very valuable even for more seasoned players.

Quest Lines in Star Wars the Old Republic

When Bioware announced, many years ago, that they were creating SWTOR you just knew that it was going to have a great storyline theme throughout the game. They succeeded all expectations with their solid Quest Lines in game. There are 5 types of Quest Lines in the game and they are all are linked to the in game storyline.

Get Through Quests with Ease, Reach Level 50+, Get POWERFUL Builds for Every Class & Hit the Credit Limit FAST with the SWTOR Savior® Strategy Guide!

There are also Flashpoints throughout the game which are still focused strongly on storyline but are one of the only Quest types that do not link directly to your storyline, however; they do link to the over arc of the SWTOR storyline.

Class Storylines

Each class in SWTOR is given a Storyline to follow as you move form level one to level fifty throughout the game. Your class storyline is split into chapters and your Story will move you from planet to planet. All major plot points such as gaining companions and your ship are reliant on you completing certain stages of this storyline.

Planetary Quests Lines

Upon arrival on each planet you will normally be introduced to at least one Quest giver quite quickly. This Quest giver will then start you on a Quest chain which will help you progress through the planet. Each planetary Quest line features an over arcing story specific to that planet in the SWTOR galaxy.

Bonus Quests

While completing your objectives in some Quests, you will sometimes see a bonus mission appear on your screen. These quests are normally set to three stages and if you successfully defeat the first set of NPC’s this can be upgraded again to a more difficult NPC in the area you are working in. On completion of this stage, stage two, you get the opportunity to go up against an elite NPC or a Champion NPC. These quests are optional however; the experience points gained by doing some of these are a huge bonus to your leveling ability.

Planetary Bonus Missions

This is a bonus mission available only on completion of the initial Planetary Quest Line which takes you to a new area of that planets map. These Planetary Bonus Missions are available from Balmorra onwards for the Empire side and for the Republic they start from Taris. However; these Planetary Bonus Missions are not always immediately available at the completion of the Planetary Quest Line as some require a higher level and you will need to return to the planet later in order to complete them if you so wish.

Get Through Quests with Ease, Reach Level 50+, Get POWERFUL Builds for Every Class & Hit the Credit Limit FAST with the SWTOR Savior® Strategy Guide!

Space Missions

Space Missions are not available until you receive your spaceship. Once you have received this it is advisable to fit it out before embarking on your first mission. Space Missions are similar to an “on rails” shooter; they normally involve destroying the opposing factions’ ships or escorting an ally through space. These are not PVP missions and are great for building up experience and credits.

Flashpoints

Flashpoints in SWTOR can be done daily and are one off storylines which require a group in order to complete the mission. These Quests are full speed ahead and nonstop. These are normally high action Quests with several champions to defeat along the way. The rewards for completing these can be extremely useful to you and your companion.

The Different Planets in Star Wars the Old Republic

The world of SWTOR is vast and there are many planets to be explored throughout the game. The storyline guides you to each planet according to where you are in your class quest and your level which makes it easier to follow the planetary system. Listed below are many of the planets and their levels as guidance for beginners to the SWTOR Galaxy.

Reach Level 50+ & Hit the Credit Limit FAST with the SWTOR Savior® Leveling Guide!

To start with, each class starts on a specific planet in SWTOR according to their alignment as below. The starting planets take you through level one to ten but can take you through to eleven if you complete side quests too.

Empire Starting Planets

Hutta – Imperial Agent and Bounty hunter
Korriban – Sith Warrior and Sith Inquisitor
Republic Starting Planets
Tython – Jedi knight and Consular
Ord Mantel – Republic Trouper and Smuggler

These are all fairly small sized planets which allow you to get used to the game play and your character. These planets are where you decide how you are going to play your character before moving into further, higher level planets. Hutta is run by a Hutt and is a very polluted, poor man’s world. Korriban is a very red looking planet which resembles ancient Egyptian styles but it has been destroyed by pillagers and rebels. Tython is brighter and cleaner in some areas but there are still some areas of destruction. Finally Or Mantel looks more like a military base in the middle of a warzone.

When you are finished working your way around the starting planets of the SWTOR galaxy you are sent to either Coruscant if you are Republic or Dromund Kaas if you are with the Empire. Coruscant is a huge city and most of your questing is done in or around the city boundaries. Dromund Kaas quests are based in the jungle but be careful here as you may just find yourself running into a area full of elite enemies if you don’t use the taxi system when you travel. These two planets take you between level 14 to 16 depending on whether you choose to do the side quests or not.

Reach Level 50+ & Hit the Credit Limit FAST with the SWTOR Savior® Leveling Guide!

The next planet you are sent to is Balmorra as a Sith or Empire player or Taris as a republic player however later in the game the republic will find themselves sent to Balmorra and any Empire players will be sent to Taris. These are some really great story line quests and it’s great to see each planet form the opposite faction later on.

After being sent to Balmorra or Taris for the first time the two factions start following the same route throughout the galaxy to the following Planets.

Nar Shaddaa
Tatooine
Alderaan
Balmorra/Taris (Republic/Sith)
Quesh
Hoth
Belsavis
Voss
Corellia
Ilum

Each planet takes you up around another 4 to five levels and there are bonus quest lines for some planets if you complete the original quest line, including your class quest, first. Each planet has its own unique look and feel and each storyline given suits the planet accurately giving the storyline more of a realistic feel to it.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is the newest Star Wars game and the newest in the Old Republic storyline, but it is also an MMO. This means that, like most MMOs, SWTOR has Player vs. Player combat, or PvP. PvP is a large part of what separates MMOs from other RPGs. As opposed to just playing through a set series of missions against set enemies controlled by a computer, PvP is playing against customized human opposition, with human tactics and limitations. In SWTOR, PvP takes several forms, each offering a different way to compete with other players in the game.

Dominate in PvP with POWERFUL Builds, Tips & Strategies from the SWTOR Savior® Strategy Guide!

PvP Factions

In SWTOR, there are two factions, or “allegiances,” players can choose between. The Republic and the Jedi form one faction, while the Empire and the Sith form the other. PvP is usually conducted against members of opposing factions, and is usually done with allies from the same faction.

World PvP

In the war between the Republic and the Empire, SWTOR features some open world PvP, but much of this is only on specific PvP servers. On these servers, players are allowed to attack each other anywhere, whether completing quests or just exploring. This can be exploited by higher level characters, so players newer to MMO games are advised to avoid PvP servers.

Warzone PvP

Warzones are available on all servers, and provide a specific area to enter into combat with other players. These areas are sectioned off from the rest of the game, allowing players to enter and leave them as they wish. In SWTOR right now, there are three different warzones:

Alderaan
Huttball
The Voidstar

In Alderaan, the goal is to take down the ship from the opposing faction. This is done by capturing turrets placed around the map so they fire onto the ships. On the map, there are three turrets, one closer to where each side starts and one in the middle. Once one team has captured the turrets and shot down the other ship, the round is over.

In Huttball, the goal is to take a ball spawned in the middle of the map to the enemy’s side to make a score. On doing so, the ball is sent back to the center of the map awaiting another score. The first team to make six such scores wins the game of Huttball. Interestingly, Huttball is the only warzone allowing members of the same faction to compete against each other.

In the Voidstar, the goal is either to blast through a series of doors to get to a datacore terminal, or to prevent the enemy faction from blasting through a series of doors to reach the datacore terminal. Each faction will be assigned either the offensive goal or defensive goal, and after one team completes the objective or time is up, then the teams switch objectives. The battle ends after both teams have had a chance at both objectives.

Dueling

While not necessarily as destructive (or beneficial) as the other forms of PvP, SWTOR also has dueling. This allows player to have mutually consensual practice battles with each other to see which of the two is stronger. It does not have any rewards, but it does serve as a form of competition within the game.

All of the different types of PvP in SWTOR serve to distinguish it as both a fun game and a solid MMO. Although SWTOR is a new game, the styles of PvP in it are very diverse, with a lot of movement toward expansion, making SWTOR a great competitive multiplayer game.

How do the companions work in Star Wars the Old Republic?

The creation of the companion in SWTOR was an ingenious idea. For those of you that love playing MMO’s but aren’t too enthusiastic about grouping up with strangers in order to take down an Elite, a Champion or even help you out with your class quests your companion is a great addition. The creators of SWTOR, Bioware, have taken a concept of the companions used in some of their earlier single player games and refined them making them a valuable asset to your character in SWTOR.

Get to Level 50+ & Break the Credit Limit FAST with the SWTOR Savior® Strategy Guide!

Each Class is given their first companion between the levels of seven to ten, just before leaving the starter planet for that class. Throughout the game at various stages, you gain up to five companions for any one class. Each companion can accompany you wherever you go and assist with battling the enemy alongside you.

When you’re given your first companion it feels great, you have a battle partner for the lifetime of the game, but there is a lot more to them than you first realize. As you all know when Bioware created SWTOR there had to be some exciting storylines to follow. Well they did not disappoint with this.

Depending on how you treat your companion, how much favor you gain with them and where you are in your own class storyline you are given the option to follow your companion with their own storyline. Beware however, it has been found out the hard way by some players that if you do not treat your companion as they expect, you do have the chance of losing out on your companions’ storyline. There are consequences for various decisions made during quests and conversations in SWTOR and your companion is no different in respect of this.

What Companions Can Do

Your companions can also craft and gather for you saving you the tedious job of gathering and crafting when you really want to be moving on to the next planet. It does cost credits to send them out to craft but it’s fairly inexpensive at lower levels. In your earlier levels crafting takes 1 minute per item and gathering can take around 3 minutes and there are plenty of opportunities to do without your companion for 3 minutes. This works especially well if you need a rest from “Khen Val” the inquisitors companion, who constantly tells you, you are nothing compared to his former master.

Get to Level 50+ & Break the Credit Limit FAST with the SWTOR Savior® Strategy Guide!

Choosing a Companion for DPS, Tank, Healing

There is one more important thing to remember when choosing which companion to use when you have more than one. Each companion has a specific role to play; they can be melee tank, melee damage, range tank, range damage or healer. You also need to make sure their equipment and gear is up to spec. The last thing you need is to be running your class quest five times because you picked the wrong companion to assist you or you forgot to buy them or equip them with upgraded gear.

The game does reward you for grouping but also gives you the alternative option to that. STWOR truly is an MMO you can solo and still enjoy the game thanks to their introduction of the faithful companions.

If you want to go through the countless caves, caverns, ships and other dangerous parts of the world of Skyrim you’re going to need to be well prepared. One of the best ways to ensure your character’s safety while traveling, aside from carrying many potions and portions of food, is having armor equipped. There are many types of armor in the game but the best sets generally become available later in the game.

Skyrim Armor Types

From worst to best there are leather, iron, steel, elven, dwarven, orcish, glass, ebony, daedric and, finally, dragon armor sets. To create each one you’ll need to unlock the ability on the smithing skill tree that is associated with the armor type you want. Once you have you’ll also be able to create weapons out of the same materials. You can improve both armor and weapons using either the grindstone or workbench. Improvement levels are fine, superior, exquisite, flawless, epic and legendary.

Iron – Iron is fairly and doesn’t require a skill point on the smithing tree to make. Iron armor requires 3 leather strips and 5 iron ingots to produce.

Steel – Steel is a bit better than iron and also doesn’t require a point on the tree to make. To create this armor you need 3 leather strips, 1 iron ingot and 4 steel ingots.

Elven – This armor type requires that you be at least level 30 in smithing and having the elven skill point unlocked to make. Once you’ve achieved both it requires 3 leather strips, 1 leather, 1 iron ingot and 4 refined moonstones to create.

Dwarven – This is a heavy armor type requiring a minimum level 30 in smithing and the appropriate skill unlocked from the smithing skill tree. Once this is accomplished the armor takes 3 dwarven metal ingots, 3 leather strips, 1 iron ingot and 1 steel ingot to make.

Orcish – In order to make Orcish armor (a heavy armor set) you will need to have at least level 50 in smithing and have the respective skill unlocked. Afterwards, it takes 3 leather strips, 1 iron ingot and 4 orichalcum ingots to make this armor type.

Glass – Glass armor is exquisite looking and fairly useful for defense, too. To be able to make it you will need level 70 in smithing and to unlock the Glass skill point. Once you’ve done this you can create it by using 3 leather strips, 1 leather, 2 refined moonstones and 4 refined malachites.

Ebony – The Ebony armor set is jet black and, quite simply, looks pretty bad ass. In order to make it you need level 80 smithing and to have unlocked the skill point for it. After you’ve reached that you need only 3 leather strips and 5 ebony ingots to produce the armor.

Daedric – Daedric armor is considered by many to be the very best armor in the game of Skyrim. It’s not the last unlock on the smithing skill tree (its right before it at level 80) but this armor packs serious punch in terms of defense. Once you’ve achieved level 80 and unlocked the Daedric skill point you need to have 3 leather strips, 5 ebony ingots and 1 elusive daedra heart to make this armor set.

Dragon – Dragon armor is the very last type you unlock on the smithing tree at level 100. It looks pretty cool but requires 3 leather strips, 1 leather, 4 dragon scales (collected from dragons you’ve killed or, rarely, in shops) and 2 iron ingots to make.

Skyrim is an epic game full of a huge variety of creatures the world has never heard of. But, the primary creatures you come into contact (and what the game almost exclusively revolves around) are, of course, dragons. These majestic beasts aren’t easy to pick a fight with unless you know what you’re doing and are well prepared. But, with great risk comes great reward. You’ll almost always receive a dragon soul. Oftentimes defeating a dragon provides you with a wad of gold, special items or, if the dragon is near a word wall, a new shout power.

We’ve taken the time to list the locations of many of the dragons in the game here as well as the best strategies for defeating them. Follow our location guide and combat tips and you’ll be well on your way to collecting dragon souls and riches in no time.

Types of Dragons

Regular Dragon – These are the guys you’ll first come into contact with in the game. They are mostly brown and are generally fire breathers only.

Health Points – 905 | Level – 10 | Resists – Fire 50% | Weakness – Frost 25% (frost versions of this dragon are the same with reversed resistance and weaknesses)

Blood Dragon – The second easiest to beat type of dragon is the Blood dragon. These creatures are green in color and have a tail in the shape of a spade.

Health Points – 1421 | Level – 20 | Resists – Fire 50% | Weakness – Frost 25% (frost versions are the same with reversed resistance and weakness)

Frost Dragon – These dragons only use freeze (frost) breath and usually have white-colored scales and large, dark spikes on them.

Health Points – 1860 | Level – 30 | Resists – Frost 50% | Weakness – Fire 25%

Elder Dragon – Elder Dragons are usually not seen until you reach level 35 or higher in Skyrim. They are the second strongest and are golden-brownish with tails that form an arrow-like shape.

Health Points – 2255 | Level – 40 | Resists – Fire 50% | Weakness – Frost 25% (frost versions are the same with reversed resistance and weakness)

Ancient Dragon – Ancient Dragons are the most powerful of the dragon breeds. Even their colors scream power and dominance (red and black). These are generally not encountered until you reach higher levels and even then they can be rare.

Health Points – 3071 | Level – 50 | Resists – Fire 50% | Weakness – Frost 25% (reversed for frost versions)

Skeletal Dragon – These dragons only appear in one or two quests within Skyrim. They are not too powerful and, as their name implies, are made up entirely of bones. Stats unknown.

Skyrim Dragon Locations

For a full list of locations for each dragon in the game please visit the Elder Scrolls Wikia for Skyrim.

General Combat Tips

One of the most obvious things you should do when fighting each dragon is use their weaknesses to your advantage. If they have a weakness to fire, hit them with flame spells or an enchanted bow that does fire damage. If the dragon has a weakness to frost, cast frost spells or use an enchanted bow with frost damage abilities. Melee weapons are almost entirely useless in dragon fights simply because they spend 80% of their time in the air. Once you have the Dragonrend shout you can, however, force them to land and then you can strike them with enchanted swords, battleaxes, maces and such.

If you’re a fan of the Elder Scrolls series you already know that one of the most rewarding experiences in the game is stocking up on high value loot. In Skyrim verything from gems to Daedric armor hold value and if you horde enough of these items you can sell them to merchants and fences to gain some serious coin. But, unfortunately, you are only able to carry so much loot on your person at any given time. This is where Skyrim houses become very handy.

Purchasing a home in Skyrim gives you multiple benefits. Firstly, you have a place that you can go to anytime to rest up to restore health, stamina and magicka. Secondly, you can get married and make it your family home. Thirdly, you get an exceptional amount of storage space to stow away all your goodies you’ve gathered from your travels. This is especially true once you’ve purchased all the upgrades to a home. Let’s take a closer look at all of the Skyrim houses.

Skyrim Houses

Breezehome in Whiterun

One of the first and most affordable homes you will come across in Skyrim is one named Breezehome. It is located close to the entrance of Whiterun, next to the weapon and armory store known as Warmaiden’s. Before you can purchase this house you have to complete a quest for the Jarl of the town, though. The quest called Bleak Falls Barrow (a moderately difficult quest if you’re just getting started) must be finished in order to gain access to buy Breezehome.

This home can be upgraded to add bedroom, kitchen, dining room, loft and living room accents. The most notable of these is the Alchemy Lab, bookshelves, 3 weapon plaques and 1 weapon rack.

Cost – 5,000

Upgrades Cost – 1,800 (bringing total to 6,800)

Honeyside in Riften

The second least expensive home in Skyrim is Honeyside. Unfortunately in order to purchase the house you have to complete 3 primary quests given by the Jarl as well as various side quests for a few citizens of Riften before the option to buy is made available. Once it is you just need to speak with Anuriel, the steward, to buy it. Once fully upgraded the home includes an Alchemy Lab, Arcane Enchanter, Tanning Rack and Cooking Pot.

Cost – 8,000

Upgrades Cost – 4,300 (bringing total to 12,300)

Vlindrel Hall in Markarth

Vlindrel Hall is the home located in Markarth. Before you can buy it you will need to be at least level 20 and then complete a quest for the Jarl involving returning his father’s shield to him. After being upgraded the home will contain an Alchemy Lab, Arcane Enchanter and Cooking Pot.

Cost – 8,000

Upgrades Cost – 4,200 (bringing total to 12,200)

Hjerim in Windhelm

Located in the snowy depths of Windhelm, Hjerim is a huge home. In fact, aside from the Proudspire Manor, it is the largest in the game and has the most storage space for your gathered items. This is due to having many, many weapon displays, armor displays, plaques and even bookshelves. It makes for the perfect looter’s paradise. It also has a hidden room which is pretty neat, too. Before you can buy this home you must finish the Fort Neugrad quest (if sided with the Stormcloaks) or beat the Stormcloaks (if sided with the Empire). Only then will the option to buy it become available from Jorleif.

Cost – 12,000

Upgrades Cost – 9,000 (bringing total to 21,000)

Proudspire Manor in Solitude

The biggest and most expensive home made available in Skyrim is none other than the elegant Proudspire Manor of Solitude. Once all upgrades are purchased for this home it has a whopping 15 different storage units for stowing your items. But, if you want to buy this home, you will need to finish both The Man Who Cried Wolf and Elisif’s Tribute quests. If you want to become the thane you have to have this home. It becomes available through Falk Firebeard when you’ve finished the quests. The home includes an Alchemy lab, Arcane Enchanter and a Cooking Pot once you purchase all of the upgrades.

Cost – 25,000

Upgrades Cost – 11,000 (bringing total to 36,000)

Final Thoughts: And that wraps up the Skyrim houses guide! Have an opinion of which is best? Or maybe you have a tip or comment you’d like to share with us or other players? Be sure to leave it below!
