Xbox Live Deal of the Week 9.21

Just about every week Microsoft decides to drop the cost of a specific set of games, usually all in the same genre, for Xbox Live Gold members to grab. This week the theme is puzzle games and there are a few to choose from. Listed below are the names of the games currently on sale, how much they used to cost and how many Microsoft Points it takes to get them while they are on special for a limited time.

Gyromancer – Was 1200 MSP, now 600 MSP

Gyromancer is a unique blend of RPG and puzzle genres. You play the role of Rivel, a mage that has to fight through tons of enemies in Aldemona Wood. The full version of this game comes with 12 different levels, supports content downloads and has online leaderboards to make competitive players happy.

Portal: Still Alive – Was 1200 MSP, now 600 MSP

Portal is on the most popular puzzle type games for the Xbox 360. As of today it has received more than 30 ‘Game of the Year’ awards and continues to be in high demand. In this game you’ll have to make use of physics and work your way through over 14 levels by solving unique puzzles using the portal tech. Bejeweled Blitz LIVE – Was 400 MSP, now 200 MSP

Bejeweled is a classic puzzle game on both the PC and Xbox. This version takes you online to battle against friends in competitive multiplayer action. This game supports up to 16 players in the Party LIVE mode on Xbox Live. Do everything you’ve loved to do in Bejeweled but with friends. You can even help each other out to hit record high scores and dominate the leaderboards. Online multiplayer supports anywhere from 2 to 16 players, leaderboards and voice. Locally, you can play the game with 2 players on the same Xbox.

Ilomilo – Was 800 MSP, now 400 MSP

Ilomilo is a cute game designed to appeal to young and old gamers alike. You take the lead of Ilo and Milo, the game’s main characters, and work your way through tons of simple yet challenging puzzles. There are many unique, hidden things to unlock and you can play co-op with a friend (not via Xbox Live). Unfortunately, this game doesn’t have much for Xbox Live support as there isn’t a multiplayer mode or an online co-op but the game isn’t bad.
